Was out yesterday enjoying the late autumn sun shine & setting in me new scope on the 17 hornet on a hill farm in Durham grouse moors all around .
Was set up by pod target 100 yards away hawthorn bush to my left ! Something caught my eye 15 to my left two grouse as nimble as a thrush eating hawthorn berries & one underneath hoovering what dropped …. Now a have seen grouse on hawthorn before but in bleak mid winter with four feet of snow .
Fired a few shots they never flickered then they
walked of in the direction of my target again obviously of me shooting 
are they deaf
