Its never shot well from dat one, off bags or bi pods.A gunsmith would have advised losing the bipod.
But finally it is and again reconfirmed today.

My Steyr has the green polymer stock and that was way too flexible when I first got it.A gunsmith would have advised losing the bipod.
Does seem a bit extreme. I know a badly cut crown can affect accuracy but not over 60m unless someone has gone at it with an angle grinder.I'm a little confused here, The rifle was new?, It then had a "Match crown done", now it has been RE crowned, what has been going on?
Did you drop it on it's head?![]()

4 of my 5 rifles have ‘manufacturers’ crowns and they shoot just fine.
YepMaybe Mike waved his magic wand over it![]()
Yep, it shot bad of bags, tripod or anything else. I would not shoot factory rounds, tried loads, so went down the route of trying to make a load.I don't get this . Nothing has been diagnosed unless you categorically state it also shot as bad without a bi pod fitted up front??
Nah, life is all about learning and there has been a few nuggets in the chain.I'm now feeling a little sorry for the Op, who no doubt wishes he'd never posted about his problem!

I trust Mike 100%. As I have said it’s been a journey but I am really happy with it now.Mike is a very practical kind of guy. I would trust his diagnostics after him handling and seeing the rifle in the flesh more than my or some others guesses from the distance.

A bit of a journey to say the least!! But there in the end. Now to get out they and bag a few with itThat's good then. So it was the crown.
I've only ever bought one new rifle with a bad muzzle. Unknowingly. It does happen. Mine had a crimped end, as though the feed was to great on the lathe. Had to remove a few mm. It shot then.
