Did it work?So do you guys have any suggestion for a nice stock pack?

I will not be able to try it for quite a few time because i have a 3 or 4 roe bucks to take before end of the season.. so i will order a stock pack and try the rifle again when i get it!Did it work?
It's perfect for me, which is just as well as there's no leeway to move the scope back anyway! That’s a seriously long eye relief
Very nice product, minimalist as i like. What is better: wersuit or cordura in your opinion?

Who would have thought it?A little update, it sounds absurd but most likely i was just shooting bad and focusing on my movement instead than on the target as i naturally do. I tried shots in field positions, all good, including bullseyes at 350 and 450 meters (on the center of a target which was more or less one inch) and good impacts from various field positions. I can’t believe that overfocusing on the hold instead than focusing on the target can make this much difference. Anyway, no more range, i went hunting and took this guy just after dawn today at 280 m
Edit: that’s the entry hole with geco express 165 gr (i cut the skin around it with my knife to show it better since i found interesting that the bullet opened up just touching the skin and was already expanded when got to the ribcage, which is something i had never seen with regular soft points i was using)
Variety is the spice of life, eh?Neither, in my opinion!
Prefer natural materials myself (leather or suede) that take on a bit of patina with use.
I have identical suede cheek raisers on both my stalking rifles, and I can swap between rifles without any change in head position required. Muscle memory is the same for both.
(The rifles are both same make and model, and also have identical trigger pull weights and matching scopes).
Oh definitely, I can shoot at a variety of quarry species with either rifle, and be reasonably confident of hitting them!Variety is the spice of life, eh?![]()
I quite like having 3 stalking rifles (5 in total) that are all a bit different.Oh definitely, I can shoot at a variety of quarry species with either rifle, and be reasonably confident of hitting them!![]()
yep, i dont use bipods either, and i dont think most of the hunters i've met in the alps do, tbh. I do have very light and soft little "pillow" of sorts for the rifle to be chushioned on, and allow it to rest more easily on hardish and not always entirely even surfaces (like a back pack for example). I still tend to hold the for end and create pressure towards the shoulder too.Forget all about the bipod, learn to shoot without, best think you’ll ever do
There were many different opinions in this thread. Even if the conclusion is this one, it was a very interesting discussion with lots of good pointsWho would have thought it?

Absolutely this ^^^Have you got a good cheek weld, or do you hover your face above the stick?
When behind the scope, move your face about and see how much the reticle moves on your target without a good cheek weld.
I found out that Aimone naturally i don’t need a cheek pad or at least it’s not strictly necessary. I was just overthinking the shooting process and most likely it wouldn’t have changed much with a cheekpad! Everything is working well and i will leave it alone for now!Absolutely this ^^^
Sorting out cheek weld issues made a massive difference to the consistency of my shooting.
(It's now consistently poor, rather than consistently abysmal).
Grazie amico mio, lo farò!Ok, best of luck then @randello88 , but plz do keep us updated. After all, we all learn the most ( and Find the most Solutions) when sharing these things.
