Haix Boots

Well I've just re-laced my boots in the suggested anti toe squashing style. Will be interesting to see if it makes any difference.

I have always laced my boots that way not to prevent toe squashing as I had never heard of different ways to lace for various conditions. I just lace my.boots the way my father taught me all those years a go.
So whether it prevents toe squashing I can't say it's not something I have ever been bothered with so perhaps it does.

Just tried that lacing system on a pair of hiking boots i bought a couple of years ago but only wore them twice as they were hurting the bunion on my foot , seems to have helped ,will give them a proper go if it ever stops raining

UPDATE: I gave up with the size 7W's and gave them to a friends son.
The boots were excellent other than rubbing the skin from my heel. I tried the lacing patterns etc..
So I have bought another pair brand new in 6W (all my other shoes are 7's) for £50 from evilbay, which seem to be working well 😊
I am of the opinion that the W in 6W means a half size extra as well as wide.

It depends on if you fit the insoles as far as I can tell. The insole takes the half size space or not. Certainly found that to be the case with the ones I had (new issued to my lad) the Altberg that replaced them were similar.
