I thought that I'd share a few things I now carry. For marking the shot position, last known deer position and blood signs... 5m of thin hi vis orange reflective ribbon. It is extremely visible at twighlight or in the dark when a torch is used. Tie a bit to a branch and it certainly stands out. If you use cable ties during a gralloch then bright orange is the way to go, very easy to find. Also handy for strap repairs. And finally a mini microfiber hand towel, packs extremely small, spread it on the ground when preparing a deer and get in the habit of only putting things down on top of it. It really avoids having to search about for items you were sure you put down just by your foot a minute ago.
In fact, do the gang here think that there could be an opportunity to sell packs containing these items? I'm sure if I bought in bulk I could do all three for a tenner.
