Hard case

I Didn't say the Nuprol case was the same quality as the Pelicase because it's not, i said it was reasonable quality which for transporting a rifle with NV kit on to the field it's good enough,

And i see no reason why anybody would want to jump up and down on their rifle case Pelicase or not. Your quite correct you do get what you pay for, but some stuff is just over priced for what it is. i bought an Aim50 drag bag because everyone telling me it's the best quality, but the strap came off in my hand 3rd time out. You guys are happy with your Pelicases, i'm happy with my Nuprol chinese case, you don't have to justify to me how much better it is, a case is better than no case. i don't travel abroad so maybe don't have to worry about the security of my rifle, but Pelicase or not someone could still wander off with it.
The OP asked what hard case was recommended for air travel. You say you don't travel abroad and the Nuprol is good enough for transport to the field, well i fully agree with you. Having seen the damage that baggage handlers have done to the out side of my peli case there's no chance I'm going to fly wth my rifle in a Nuprol. A pelicase is about 10% or less than the cost of of a hunting rifle and scope so a small price to pay to get your rifle too its destination in one piece. Flying with a hunting weapon and having some one walk off with it is very low on my list of worries.
