Bless him! Nice lad, respectful to his father. Quite a long list of areas to improve. Just needs someone experienced to take him out a few times and show him the ropes. The bit with the tenon saw was my favourite.

The way he loads a round, applys safety, and slings the rifle... those Tikka safety catches are all too easy to catch on clothing and move forwards when clambouring around, you won't even know its happened.

His own long running channel with lots of filming rabbiting, ferreting , pigeons etc the format is much the same.
The last roe was done in the same manor. A number of good vids out there to learn from....If you want to learn!!! Sam seems to busy showing his followers his way. His Dad is old school but the gap of the tried and tested method seems to have not been bridged...

Shows one thing the Shop brought seat front rail is way to low with the timber cable tied on to add some height....

Haha... sorry matey but how can a kiwi preach gun safety to anyone.... every time I was out with a northland boy he was either stoned ****ed or both..
Went out many times with lads from the sites I worked on hunting duck pig possum and deer and same ever time !!! Lol

I now feel a whole lot better about my approach to in-the-woods elevated evisceration.

As for the use of a hose to clean out the already heavily contaminated cavity you've got to give him credit for wanting to clean things up and I can only think no one has cautioned him otherwise.

Assuming the beast is for home consumption and there's no plan to hang the carcass I'm sure he'll live to climb a highseat another day.

I thought the most amusing bit was Dad eulogising over the tripe knife and what a perfect tool it was and the left haunch had a huge knife slice in it where he must have run the other knife up its leg

Look it wasn’t perfect but like someone else said he was very respectful to his father, he has harvested deer for his own consumption which will be some nice meals for some time.
