Anyone tried anything like this ?

I've got one of these, obviously won't dehumidify, but it t it's very economical, and puts out a lot of heat if needed.

Think that may be your problem “on a sunny day” we get a lot of grey cloudy days with little or no sun during the winter so when you most need it, it will not work.

Are you running it on red diesel, was looking at them for a static mobile home, where the site charge a lot for electricity and gas.

Yes, that type holds about a gallon.
They need a 12v power supply, you can use a battery or through a transformer.
There is an small exhaust that needs venting outside, but they're quiet enough.

4 ducting outlets on the front, and it's too hot to keep your hand there.
The main thing is, it's economical, I've not done a proper test yet, but mine has done about 20 hours so far, and it's not used the half a gallon of diesel yet.

Heard good things about these from the local landrover boys, basically a Chinese Eberspacher knock off, in portable form, for a bargain price. Might just have to get one.

I have a couple of Chinese diesel heaters, one in my van and one in the garage. For the price you can’t go wrong.
You can even get controllers so you can start and stop them via mobile phone message.

Yes and got a few trees , read reviews as usual some good some bad , just like the idea of free heating 😁 to be fair not so much heating just keeping moisture down as have printers etc in there , log burner going in for heating in new year !

Depnds on how big the outbuilding is.

I have a small outbuilding and use a combination of dehumidifier and fan heater.

I want to keep the room dry for the goodies inside and only use the fan heater to bring the temp up when im in there.

Use a desicant dehumidifier. These will naturally raise the temperature in the room while in use. my room is constantly at 13 degrees and dry.

Even with a relatively small log burner, the heat can be too much..... in a cabin my wildfowling club has, we have a small burner and i have to open the hut door to let the heat out before going to sleep!
I have one of the chinese diesel night heaters fitted into my landy... it came with a 10 litre tank ( i bought and fitted a 5 litre one) it uses about 0.1litres per hour.
used when i was doing security work overnight in winter guarding areas to keep toasty.... it has a built in thermostat so easy to control.
