Heavy Muntjac or is it ??

I shot an old buck Muntjac the other night, before I did battle with him again to remove the skin I popped him on the scales. Is 27lbs gralloched and head off heavy for a muntjac as its the biggest one I have shot or seen shot in my area ??

Regarding weight, and looking back over our records, the heaviest muntjac weighed a shade over 16 kg, which is 35 lbs. This was gralloched but head & legs on, so you can probably drop a kilo for that.

We've shot 139 muntjac that weighted 12.25 kg/27 lbs or more since 1997. Dealer weight (head & legs off) we've shot 20 animals that were over 12.25 kg, the heaviest of which was 14kg.

The average weight (h&l on) of the 1,152 muntjac that we have shot and that we have data for over the same period is 9.58 kg, or just over 21 lbs.

These were all shot in West Berkshire.

31 my pb for weight but 27 is a v good weight, adv is 20-24
shot 58 out of 2 fields these last 3 years abt 14 acres in total

Biggest munty buck I've ever shot was last December, Larder weight of 33.6lb, bigger than a lot of Roe I've shot

The gold buck I shot in April was 12kg/26.5lbs larder weight.
I’ll check my records but I think I once shot a 14kg/30.8lbs (non medal) buck
