Muntjac - fat build up around tail

Not long ago I shot a muntjac doe which looked normal through the scope, but on reaching her and then subsequent gralloch was found to have a huge build up of fat around the base of her tail. Carcass absolutely normal other than that, but I’d never seen this before.
Last nights muntjac doe was also bearing the same build up of fat in the same place although not quite to the same extent.
Both were pregnant, both shot off the same permission.
Has anyone seen or heard of this before ?
I think I’ve a photo somewhere I’ll try and dig it out and post.fbf44a5b-af45-49ae-8e65-bff66035c2c0.webp
