Hi! And thank you for membership!

My name is Jyri, and i live in southern Finland.
I hunt mainly whitetail and roe deer.
I use Mauser m98 large ring fitted with heym barrel in caliber 6.5x55se. Will be happy to tell more about this caliber.

I also have a feeding place for white tails, and another for mallards.
Deers in Finland are mostly stalked at night using a tiny hut near a feeding place. Couple times in season we have driven hunts using very small dogs.

If you have possibility to visit Finland in early spring or late september I whoud recommend a visit to our swamp areas ie.puurijarvi to see black grouse mating rituals.
Mesmerizing combination of sound os birds and smell of marsh labrador tea!

Hi! I have once been in Estonia hunting geese. Now there is a virus called african swine fever spreading in Estonia. So we have decided not to go there before diseace is in control.
Did you use a barking dog when you hunted capercaillie?

No dogs just lots of walking in fantastic wilderness.

Welcome to the site. I have a lot of friends in Finland. I am also back there hunting Whitetail later this winter. Last winter we hunted near Turco for Whitetail.
