Hi

Thanks for letting me join.

I have been a coastal Wildfowler in the east coast for the last 40 years or so and decided that I would like to try and get in to deer stalking as it seems to be a similar (albeit slightly less muddy ) form of shooting.

My focus is shooting for the pot for myself and my grown up family rather than looking for trophies although I appreciate this sentiment may change if presented with the opportunity to take a trophy buck!

I am most definitely a novice and was very fortunate to be successful on my first and second stalks (a Roe buck in East Yorkshire and a Muntjac in Norfolk). I blanked my third trip but really enjoyed it and learnt a lot including how to shoot safely from a high seat.

I recently got my FAC and have a .308 and .223 and also enjoy shooting on the range.

I am trying to build my knowledge by booking on accompanied stalks and will be booking up to take my DSC1 soon.

Thanks

Chris
