Hello from the Rocky Mountains

Cheers all, I suppose I'll introduce myself. I am a bit of a addict to hunting, everything from birds, to varmints, and large game species like deer and elk. I spend a great deal of my time hunting and shooting, to the point it has become a bit of a profession. My Great Great Great Grandfather was a Briton, from Manchester, and I often feel the desire to explore and hunt over there. But its far more likely I'll just continue hunting here. I really enjoy sharing my hunting experiences and discussing hardware, tactics, etc. I am very lucky to have great freedom to do so here in the wild open west. I look forward to learning and sharing with all of you, I produce a variety of shooting and hunting related content on my website as well as assorted other websites.

Welcome from the Midlands UK. Went to the Rocky mountains years ago, Denver, but never hunted there. You live in a great state. Lived in Michigan for a few years and hunted Whitetail in the snow, loved it. Happy hunting.

Stunning place and I nearly stayed permanently
Why didn't you Rake? and do you have any regrets that you didn't :-| . I've got two sisters living in the States and they would never return to England, leaving was the best decision they ever made.. both have told me the same thing.

Welcome @coldboremiracle, plenty of knowledge available on this forum... not much from me unfortunately :norty:

My wife didn’t want to move
At the time I worked on oil rigs and was over there testing software for turbine generators, the people were amazing and the place was stunning
All my family was here and Mrs Rake would have felt left behind due to my work and wasn’t keen on the move
I’m basically a redneck who would have fitted in and felt like I’d found home
It’s a regret I’ll likely die with .

Apart from family reasons , there were none for not moving. It’s paradise.

I've family in Tennessee. They offered me & my Mrs a new life, a farm to manage. We'd set wheels in motion, but then found out she was pregnant & that changed something in her, in terms she didn't want to take first grandchild away from her parents.... What could have been! 😩🙄🙄
