Good evening everyone.
I am just getting into stalking and am keen to gain experience. I’m based in North East Somerset and have been out stalking just the once, with one roe doe taken. I have a stalk booed with a local stalker for next week and hope to get a buck.
I also shoot foxes on my land - they seem to have a real taste for my chickens.
I have been reloading both fox and deer rounds in .243 and have worked up decent loads for both. I have a slot on my license for a .308 but have not bought one yet as I intend to stay local for the foreseeable future where the quarry is roe, muntjac and fox.
I have joined a deer syndicate but intend to do some more guided stalks before going out on my own.
If anyone knows of any shooting opportunities in the Somerset/Wiltshire/Gloucestershire area please let me know.
