Here to learn from others.

Hi all.
mrscottishfarmer (aged 33) here from the Scottish Borders (kelso area).
Been brought up and lived on an arable/fat cattle farm all my life.
was first introduced to shooting when we had a problem with pigeons messing in the cattle shed.
My dad bought me a second hand .22 bsa air rifle when I was 16 to sort the problem out.
I then went on to get a second hand .22 Mauser rim fire. Mostly used to shoot rabbits and the odd hare. About 2 years ago hare's started to become a problem on the farm so last year I bought a second hand tikka t3 .223. And since then have became hooked on stalking.
Tomorrow I am going to book a pre dsc1 and dsc1 course which I am looking forward to. I have not yet shoot a roe deer but have had plenty of opportunities on the farm. I am sure the course will serve me well and looking forward to learning more about deer stalking on here.

Great intro and welcome

With prep work by reading the manual and some practice on the targets the pre dsc1 is only a dummed down version personally I would just book the full course.
