Hi all,

Davy here. I'm very new to all things firearms, I'm hoping to book and complete DSC1 within the next 6 months and I'd like to become as knowledgeable as some of you on this forum.
I am currently applying for my FAC and am looking at getting a 7mm08 as my first rifle.
I am in the fortunate position that a relative of mine has a large amount of land with alot of deer on so trigger time should not be an issue in the not too distant future.

Welcome Davy, and great choice of rifle! That's what I settled on too when I started stalking a few years back. Actually getting up and running, finding ammunition, then ammunition that worked in my rifle, and finally moving into reloading was all a bit of a learning adventure, so if you would like any help or tips, please let me know.
