Hi Guys,

Looking for inspiration, what easy and relatively cheap high seat/doe box ideas do you have or photos?
Looking to make a few high seats to cover the woodland and restocks
Then make a doe box or 2 to cover the lower section of my permission looking over grass parks and crop fields

Many thanks in advance.

In the pic you can see the ‘trouser leg’ effect of the shorter than necessary upright supports for the roof: if you get a dump of snow, you’ll wish you’d used longer lengths of wood (don’t ask how I know this 😳😆👍🏻). I added in blocks later, in the spring time, lol.

Potato boxes/euro pallets are tough. The only look/shoot one way would not be high on my list.

Noted 😂😂 I will get most use during the snow if I’m honest so I will take your advise 👍🏼

I will make it shoot on 4 sides or 2 see what I can get ibc wise at the farm

Well, after five years, they could do with a bit of a touch-up, tbh!
xtreme auto from Ireland have good spray on mil-colour paints, also I’ve used these:

Be sure to give them a bit more heat on the surfaces with the blow lamp than I did first time around, lol!

Made a decent tattie box one in the past, again made roof supports similar to above, and a roof, and could see 360° out of it, but only ever used three sides, as the back side was facing toward a minor road. It was on the ground, albeit on a raised area. I’d say it’s definitely easier to place and install the ibc one, all things considered.
