hik micro alpex 4k zeroing what Im I doing wrong

It's by far the easiest way to zero too.
And that's coming from me, who would struggle to set up a smart TV.
Thing is a lot of folks do struggle, funny how the majority who pretty much grew up with computers could not hang a door , build a wall or do fairly simple joinery ( dont even go to swapping out a car engine on the driveway .
Getting a zero with elevation and windage turrets is super easy , as is altering windage and changing elevation IN THE FIELD , on the hop as needed to deal with conditions and range
Its so easy to dial in your digital scope most folks have to set it up in a cradle ! Its near as bad as when the mounts where altered before dial in was brought out . seriously thinking selling my Alpex as it had to go back for a re-flash apparently ! Back now Its just sat in its box .

Bowl and Blades makes a very good point - the demographic for their products - given the cost and intended use - makes their complexity and assumption that we are all “app-excited” a bit of a stretch. The quality of the image at 4k is irresistible - making a simple interface without all the extra’s - BC’s etc., woul appeal to a much wider audience. We are not incapable - we just don’t particularly want to - or need to. And for the tech designers, just because they can, doesn’t mean they should…

They do make a simple one without the LRF and ballistics, i have no interest in any of that nonsense and use holdover like i always have so thats the one i use

Did you get any joy with this? Having an absolute mare with my Alex 4K lrf. Hold zero at 100, off at 200 off again at 400. It’s not windage and saving parameters properly. Any suggestions before I throw the thing off a mountain?

At 200 and 400 is on on windage? Might be an alignment issue?

At distance it only on elevation, I have played with the ballistic coefficient which has now brought the POI so it’s now on from 40 to 350 using 55gr v max in .223 but that’s the limit after that it’s going high on targets above that. Thought it could have been the ammo but hitting perfect through glass at 560 with the same rifle 🤦‍♀️.

I have to admit that the confidence side of things is always more of a concern with digital compared to traditional optics but different price ranges and abilities. To be fair 350 yards is good going and more then far enough for most of us (me included) 👍

Can’t believe the issues some of you have had! Zeroed my fith alpex (not all mine!) Saturday morning on a .222 and I think it took 7 shots from box fresh to shooting a pretty good 250yard group using the lrf

have you pushed it passed the 250 mark? Think I might just be trying to push it a little to far but with there claims of what distance it will go out to…………

I think my expectations might be bigger than possible 🤣🤣🤣🤣

😅 No bad thing but comparing a £850 digital to £2k plus glass is not fair. Loads to go wrong in digital equipment.

My general view with shooting is you need to go and get what you shot so if its 350 yards away...get walking before you shoot it rather then after 😅😅👍

Yes have shot gongs out to 600 with it successfully. But they were 30cm gongs!

just purchased a Alpex 4k which Im struggling to zero(100 yds). Rifle Tikka T3 .204, mounts opticlocks mounts. watched the online videos, so take the shot, up mag to14, freeze the screen, adjust X and Y, then save settings, take next shot POI has moved but move but more than it should ? can ajustments only be done at 3.5 mag? tryed to adjusting the old fashioned way by adjusting the Y from -62 to -65 think it would move POI by 1inch, it moved aprox 6 inchs. what am I doing wrong. thanks for any answers
Put it on mag your happy with before taking the shot & freezing , rather than the other way round

I reckon I am wasting my time typing on this thread.
Hi, recently purchased a Hikmicro Alpex 50EL - with regard to zeroing with the Hikmicro Sight App does the menu button on the scope still have to be pressed to freeze the frame or can it be done in the app say on an iPad. Quite difficult to not move rifle when pushing button on scope, thanks, Bill

No need to freeze the frame if using the app. Just enter the relevant adjustment into the zeroing section of the app itself.
