Just bought the above scope ,when using it the first section gets warm, not hot but stays warm is this normal or do I have a problem.Scope works fine .
I have a 4k Fat and 2 4K lites and they all warm up a touch. Well, enought to be noticeable with a thermal anyway. Much the same as the stock does when you've been holding it. I've had the fat since they came out and it's always worked exactly as it should. If you really want to put your mind at ease, just ring the company.

Tony anything using power makes heat, it you have a thermal turn you unit on and look at the scope from a few yds, my thermal can see the shape of the farm cameras up on the buildings.

the wheat shows up really well when the suns been on it a bit
Not OP but IMO the lite is no where near the unit the full fat is for after dark and even in low light. I have the lite on my .22lr and the fat on my .243 and if it wasn't for the weight difference I would have got rid of the lite ages ago. I primarily use the Lite after dark for rabbiting. Don't get me wrong its usable but it lacks the crisp image I'm used to with the fat version. I have compared them side by side using the same IR and its a notable difference in clarity. Even the older A50T and my DNT Zulus seem to be better. I thought I had a faulty unit until I posted about it and it was confirmed that this was expected performance. Worth looking at some of the reviews for the new DNT 4k Tube Scope.
