Is anyone using these and what's their thoughts, I have looked at the Wicked Rekon one on a certain website and seems like a lot of money, Is there any other brands on the market that are similar.
I shoot mostly from sticks but when out foxing and using the thermal it would be good to have the freedom the leave the gun mounted and look around with the thermal

I'm in the same place, so keen to see what the opinions are. You can buy the saddle seperately for about £65 on Amazon but not sure if it would fit a standard tripod. The Recon looks like it would hold a .50 cal machine gun!

Got one a couple of weeks ago from "the bay" about £50 delivered, 3D printed but seems robust and it works, called a "shooting saddle", fits tripod well,, can't get to the link as I'm away.

This is my set up. £100 as tripod was on a deal. N8vision clamp ( cheapest it to message him instead of using the website) and a 12kg rated tripod- aluminium instead of carbon if an auction site. Surprised by how solid and stable it is. Pm me if you would like more details et

I bought one of the Primos double yoke rests from classifieds which I used with a quick release pad on a fluid head video tripod...mixed feelings about it in use.

If you are normally shooting off sticks, have you considered one of the quad sticks which incorporates a tracking facility and a fifth leg for hands free support?

I just printed the rifle holder with my 3d printer and fitted it up onto a carbon fibre tripod works superb, I didn't print a clamp saddle as i don't like them just a normal U section fitted it to a panoramic head and decked out with foam so it's silent, works very well indeed.
Quad sticks are not good for me as the v section interferes with the NV so having a tripod already it took a few hours to print a new head to fit for the rifle to fit, super quick now to set up carry as my foxing is on foot, for me I manage more foxes this way.
To make that wicked reckon set up, DIY tripod £60-£100 carbon fibre, £15 for the ball head then the saddle so you could do it way less than half that price, regards wayne.

Zomei 888 C carbon camera tripod, around £110 off ebay or Amazon, you can get the 666 for half that but its alu and not as stable.
Couple that with £50 saddle , youve got everything a Rekon/Bog pod does at half the price.

Well a quick look and it seems there's plenty cheaper options out there, Just need to sort a saddle out now, N8 Vision seem to be out of stock and on back order.
Cheers for all the advice, Looks like I can save a few £££££££

They are kind of OK, not as stable as quad sticks, if your static shooting then i can see the attraction but on walk-about its just more gear to carry-setup for the shot.
I was a bit underwhelmed to be honest, i will use it, probably in the back of the truck, but not as often as i initially thought.
