Home security requirements

Since upgrading my security upon renewal in line with home office guidelines I pointed out the clarity it gave shooters going forward. Firearms departments wouldn't just be able to cherry pick or ignore parts of the guidance depending on their agenda. Fair is fair.

Understandable if you live in a crime hotspot, but I can think of nothing more annoying that getting a notification every time the posty drops the mail.
Where you live doesn’t mean you are immune to crime, i happen to live in an area with a very low crime rate but that didn’t stop me coming face to face with a scrote on the rob in my kitchen 20 odd years ago!!!

There’s two ways of looking at it, you’ll either find a buzz in your pocket or wrist an annoyance or you will take comfort knowing you are aware of what’s happening at your property.
I’m in the latter camp, if i’m out foxing at 2am, i know that while my family are tucked up in bed asleep i’ve got eyes and ears on my house.

Mine took 8months which included two extensions things are getting better worth asking in your local area

How many times have we seen videos of properties with alarms, cameras and all sorts of other security arrangements and someone dressed in black with a hood stealing gundogs.
Not identified and never caught.
It's a nonsense.

Agreed, however it’s the police’s train set so they can set the requirements and recommendations so most times we have to play along.

Sure, you can push back, but sometimes for the sake of a £100 alarm and £30 doorbell it’s a case of choosing your battles. 👍🏻
