Homemade Ventile Trousers

So, having a bit of time on my hands over the last week and access to a few sewing machines, I thought I’d try my hand at sewing myself a pair of Ventile trousers. After lots of effing and blinding they’re finished. Not perfect but I’m happy with them!

Photos below, with the double layer Ventile jacket in the last pic!

I have never had anything Venitle before but thinking of getting something from Hilltrex, how hard wearing is it?

It’ll depend what weight of fabric you go for. The bulk of those trousers are 400gsm and it’s fairly thick fabric. The second layer on the knees and arse is 200gsm ripstop and feels a lot thinner to the hand but should still be fairly hard wearing.

I’ve got quite a few scraps so will patch them up as and when the time comes!
