Ah got you. I am genuinely interested in what's wrong with the starter. I will take it apart, test the resistance, polish the parts etc. But you are right, I will just keep it as is and only rebuild it if I need it.

I'm afraid I think this quad only has a few years left. I'm at that inevitable stage where there are more and more mystery steering/suspension noises and the frequency of repairs is accelerating. Its beyond the stage where garage hours are justifiable and one day it wont be worth chucking parts at it.
