Anyone near me ( Rainham Kent) looking for a honey bee swarm who can collect later today, there is one in a neighbours garden 5’ off the ground hanging off a small branch I will re locate this evening if still there

One of the joys of beekeeping, rehoming a swarm. I used to love watching them march off the sheet into their new home.

didn’t get a chance to re home circa 15:00 hrs
They took to the bright blue sky never to be seen again

the numpty over the road does no swarm control. shame as i keep having to kill his bees and block dissused chimnies

My mate did say he’d be lucky for then to still be there at 4pm. Guess they must move about till they find somewhere they really like.

yep all down to lady luck, one swarm will stay half a day next one 3 days
all depends
i collected one in sevenoaks last week got the call on the monday morning as the lady went on a 3 day break went there thursday when she came back, still hanging off the bush all snuggled up, lovely swarm off bees which are now all settled in my mates new hive nice result

Well lets hope they find somewhere safe, we need plenty of bees.

A pickup with a live hive in the back parked in Weymouth car park a few years ago. The workers, if that's the term, were dispersing in all directions. After the pickup left, the bees that were left behind descended on the car that was then parked in the same spot.
