If you send me a couple I can do them on my lathe and post them back. Can anyone recommend where to get a couple of cases threaded to fit a Hornady L'n'L OAL gauge?
I would like to get one done for the 6XC.
Much obliged.
You are a gentleman sir.If you send me a couple I can do them on my lathe and post them back.
(If you have a spare I can have for my collection I’d like that too!)
Regards,
Gixer
Sure, drop those in if you have them spare! You are a gentleman sir.
Anything else that you are missing from the collection? I can do 7x64 and possibly 22 Creed if it helps?
On another note, I never found that powder dropper / grain-measure thing but I do have an old metering powder / shot flask if it is any use to you?
Sure. Send them over, it’s no problem to do at all, gives me a reason to bumble about in the garage for 5 mins, I bought the correct size drill and tap a while ago, used them for my chamberings and they have sat their since!@gixer1 Would a .284win case be of any interest?
I need to get one done as my rifle is almost finished![]()
Much appreciated, I'll drop you a pm once I've got the rifle and fired a couple of casesSure. The hardest part is chucking them in the lathe and getting a tight enough grip without distorting the brass at all but so that it doesn’t slip.
The main issue is trying to keep hold of a piece of brass while drilling and taping it - even in a large it can be a pest.Top tip if you fancy making one yourself:
Remember to specify the following type of tap if you wish to avoid frustration:

How do I know? Put this type in my eBay basket by mistake:

Yes, it’s galling, isn’t it?The main issue is trying to keep hold of a piece of brass while drilling and taping it - even in a large it can be a pest.
And use a letter drill bit size “I”….
And the tap is 5/16 36 UNS.
See what you did there. Very clever Sir.Yes, it’s galling, isn’t it?
