I have longed for one for years.

My son and his "party" used one on a weekend away. Whatever was in that Petri dish, brought him out in a terrible rash that required medical intervention.

Pretty much lost the urge to buy one just about then...

Hot tubs rather go with fur coats, nae nickers, and glacier white SUVs, and the only culture is what grows on the bodies (with a lot of implants) that are in the tub. They have the voracity and subtlety of pirañas.

A hot bath is a far far safer.

! Just never allow one of them Orange Girls in it or the one of suntan gods to get in ? , always had the hankering for the wood burner types one day . And when I cant be arsed anymore I can open up a soup kitchen .

Great things, my work is very physical and after a tough day - couple of pints of ale and a good soak with the bubbles on is twice as effective as paracetamol.
As for the comments of them being germ infested filthy things - they are the words of someone who hasnt a clue about hot tub water management- or cant ne arsed.
Regular filter changes and good chlorine/bromine levels are the key, filters can be soaked in a bucket with a dishwasher tablet then go in the dishwasher on a hot cycle.
Down side is they do add a fair whack to the electricity bill but we only havr ours on from March to end of September.

Went to a lodge with a tub on loch awe, that next week the partners boy & friend who was with us were off school with chickenpox, until I had some unsightly lumps under my arms & some on my torso. No chickenpoxjust a filthy hot tub, gives me the boak thinking about it

I have one of my own, but keep it at proper levels of chemical, unlike they dirty ba.....s

Next door has 1 for air b and b. Loads of complaints about it because he doesn't really clean it or manage it correctly. People coming out in rashes etc. Bathing in someone else's skin soup doesn't appeal to me
