Hot weather: good or bad for stalking?

Is this hot for the UK weather, 30 C plus, good or bad for stalking?

Last night, I took the dogs for a walk saw a roe down and beautiful 6 pointer buck, and fallow does. Within 30 yards of all of them and all seemed pretty dozy (but they do seem to know that it is dog walking territory and that they are safe).

Out an hour before daylight this morning on one of my permissions and didn't see a thing.

In my limited experience, I have found that the kind of hot weather you get just before a storm breaks is very productive.

Dont think it matters, they still need to feed. Mornings are cooler obviously and seeing movement last hour or so of light every day. More an issue for us i think

Last hour in the evening or get up before dawn. During the heat of the day they get into deep woods. On the hill they get up on the tops to get away from the midges.

Went this morning to the woods and it was 21 degrees at 4am - saw sweet F all. Had a feeling when I got up it was going to be a waste of time, but been home all week, I wanted to get out for some exercise.

Probably didn’t help that due to the heat I had a doze in both seats and that I smelt wonderful - lol seemed to have left my jacket on a car air freshener in the truck footwell giving me that new car scent vibe.

My permissions being arable, I tend not to bother as they'll likely be comfortable elsewhere. Can intercept to and from a wood at one but with temps above 20 in the small hours I tend not to bother.

Only a small chiller too and limited game dealer hours so don't want to be in a position of not being able to store what I shoot or extra time breaking it down to fit in the heat.

Looking forward to cooler temperatures.

I went this morning and managed a fallow buck and roe buck.

I saw about 25 fallow, a few muntie and just the single roe.

The heat was worse for me than the deer.
