How not to check a misfire

Mr brother tells a story that when on service in Iraq, there was a local general type of character who used to carry around a rusty old 12b with him everywhere, swinging it by the trigger guard.

A call came over the radio requiring medical assistance as a result of gunfire. fearing the worst of course, there were some relieved servicemen who discovered that it wasn't more serious than this fellow had shot himself in the foot.

Rumour has it the famous shoe was then kept on the wall and used for drinking games.
