Hi all,
I used to be an active deer stalker and member of this forum before relocating to Australia a few years ago.
It took me a few years to get settled and find my feet in the shooting/hunting scene, but slowly getting there. There were a few surprises along the way, especially when I found out how tough it was to find places to stalk/hunt here in South East Queensland. I was also shocked to discover there is no bird/wing shooting so clays it is for the shotgun! Luckily other states have a very good public land hunting systems and that allows you to hunt some pretty big state forests. Imagine camping in the middle of 400 000 acres and being the only 2 hunters there.
Thought I'd share a select few photos from hunts over the past few years. In order, rusa hind, public land goat, 2021 rut red stag, feral pig, 2019 rut red stag
