Well they sureas**** die, about 90% of chicks don’t make it through their first winter.

Not totally. However the percentage does indicate that the birds do die in large numbers every year and that most of them are not reported.
It seems that you are not the only one who doesn’t come across them.

You two gentlemen have a real difficulty with accepting any evidence from anyone else, so here’s a little experiment for you both.
Get a few pheasant and or partridge chicks, put some 7.5 shot in their food and grit.
Get a few mallard chicks, do the same.
Buy a couple of BOP, tiercel peregrines are almost free to good homes, feed them birds and rabbit that contain lead shot.

I never said that you should only feed lead, I suggested that you mix some in their food and report your results.
There won’t be any issues if it’s harmless.

What do honestly expect. Shooters are being persecuted again and the traitors within post pictures of game taken with lead ammunition after spouting self righteous diatribe wishing to remove individual freedom of choice so the traditional method of slaughtering thousands of pheasants by the rich and famous can remain!!

I dropped my old SBS in for a little TLC, nothing major, just a mistimed ejector.
I got a call from the gunsmith, how did I want to proceed? A new cam would be around €250, but he could probably fix the problem by tinkering with the existing one for €50. So far so good.
Then the bad news, it’s only worth around €100 on a good day, no one wants SBS nowadays, particularly not with double triggers and an auto safety.
The current generation of shotgun shooters are a bunch of ignorant philistines who don’t appreciate true class.

Yes good guns are getting binned in the UK , sad and it hits the shooters ands and the skilled gunsmiths
