I try and get opening pheasant season started via my flintlock so today I fired the old gun up.
It's getting on a bit now and showing some dings and scratches.

I had to replace the rammer a few years ago and that is a 6.5x55 case glued on the end.

Anyway I lit it up today and it was on target just perfect.
The flint is finished and I've fitted a new one after the video.

Those aren't dings and scratches , those are character lines . Nice .
