If VSS can hurt himself, so can I.

Hi,
No knives were blunted in this (Shooting?) accident.
Up at the range 7 weeks ago and fell heavily and landed on my right shoulder on concrete.
After a couple of minutes laying on my back I managed to get upright with the help of a nearby post.Right arm painful and couldn’t shoot properly.
Next day bruising started and arm wouldn’t move much without pain.
Have it two weeks the heal but it didn’t.
When to a Physio. twice weekly for next 4 weeks and arm still won’t raise above waist high.
Physio. gave me a phone # and I booked a scan for yesterday.
This the result, so think I’ll see if I can get an audience with a local GP to get an opinion.
Ken.

Mrs LE is a senior OT (specialises in rheumatoid arthritis) and her take is that soft tissue damage is a heck of a lot worse than a fracture or full break of the bone.

Hope you get the correct treatment and it all heals well.

Sh*te Ken. I did the first one on your list. Required surgery then 24/7 for three months strapped tight in a sling. I was about nine months of physio after that, three times daily. However I hope you fair better than myself.

Feel for you - I broke the middle toe on my right foot about a month ago, keep stubbing it & am sure I’ve managed to break it again several times judging on it colouring up again…

Depending on your age probably won’t operate but shoulders notoriously difficult to heal because you constantly use it if it makes you feel better mines torn too and got better over time. Can’t throw a ball though 😂

Ouch! Bad luck lad - and very painful to boot.
Be careful with the Co-codomol - they can put your bowel into doze mode - discovered this a few years ago when the sainted Lady FB had surgery on her elbow - a few days later the district nurse was summoned and appeared carrying a rubber hose and a funnel.
My how we laughed, hah, hah, hah…..

I need your doctors tel.no. they have cut my allowance to 56 but was told to take two four times a day if needed you should always take food with any pain killer the reasoning for the reduction from 100 to 56 was they dont want me to become addicted

Hi,
Depending what I’m doing during the day I can sometimes work through the back pain but laying in bed at night is the worst time for me.
Though 200 are on repeat prescription I don’t always order them every month.

There’s lots of things I can still use the right arm for and can lift and carry quite heavy things, however, to try and reach straight out and pick up a mug of tea is impossible and the pain from such action is bad.
Cheers, Ken.
