Illuminator for Ludicrous Lumens Vulpine

I swapped the 940 pill which was in my ESL for an 850 one tonight (I bought it with both). It's certainly better for the Vulpine now, but both the Solaris SRX and Sirius Reach are in another league. The Alpex is clearer with the 940 pill in the ESL, but it's pixelated beyond use at distances the Vulpine has no issue with.
How does the alpex compare with the vulpine when you use the sirius reach with both.

The inevitable pixilation of the Alpex's image at high magnification means the Vulpine is far better at longer distances. I wouldn't choose the Reach for my Alpex. It's just not needed. The ESL is superb on the Alpex 4K.

The LL wraith is probably your best option. He does have a new one out (can't remember the name) but when I emailed him to ask if this new one would be better than the wraith, he said no. He said the wraith is still the best for the vulpine. So I got it from the horses mouth.
I use a wraith x3. Excellent.

Vulpine + Wraith v3. Satisfied user here. The quest for more range with lights can sometimes be self defeating, more range more power more spooked foxes. The Wraith has a good dimmer. I switch to a Pulsar F455 wicked lights 940 beam if I get a problem fox.

Hi, do you think the Vulpine has a better image/range than the Alpex :-|

Not sure about the Alpex but against a DNT Zulus 5-20 definitely yes. Using a Vulpine and Wraith torch (not ESL) Foxes are clearly defined at 400 yards when the rifle scope is zoomed to x20. The Zulus is too pixelated to do that.

Hi, I directly compared the Vulpine with the Alpex. The Vulpine wins hands down at range. It doesn’t pixelate with magnification. I got rid of the Alpex and I actually have 2 Vulpines👍
Thanks for that info. Have you compared the Vulpine with a Pard 007?

Most definitely. To 150 yards ish, the Alpex 4K is fine. It's no Drone Pro, but it's really good.
No doubt I will be shot down for saying it, but the clarity is not there with the Alpex for longer range foxing.

Have not looked through an alpex to judge both, but on a clear night, I can clearly see hares and rabbits out to around 450m, so way mare than you actually need to shoot.

Schmidt & bender pm2 5-25-56 incredibly clear

IOR valdada 6-24-50 also very clear and no spacers needed fits perfectly with one rotation of insulation tape

The vulpine seems to be a good unit for longer range fox shooting.
What about closer range shooting like rabbits with a 22 lr.
