I'm off the Bino Harness. What's the best waist bag going?

Well it's arrived. Great size, very comfortable.

I'd definitely recommend.

Was ordered with a plan to go stalking tomorrow morning. Family over today and they're staying the night. Cousin I grew up shooting with but we've never stalked together. I was planning on taking him out.

His daughter's been rather unwell for past few days. He officially cancelled this morning.

We've both been moping round the house because we can't go stalking. Gutted.

I might still dip out myself tomorrow, regardless

Military ‘shooters belt’ holds everything you need. You can adjust and customise the pouches with what you want (other colours available if camouflage isn’t your thing) and MOLLE.

Lots for sale on market place and eBay. Particularly around Tidworth/andover/salisbury…….:

That with binos round your neck and your on a winning combo in my eyes.

I think if you are carrying sufficient stuff on a 2-3 hour outing in England that you require shoulder straps on the bum bag then I would suggest you are maybe carrying way too much.

Binos, thermal, spare battery for thermal, knife, head torch, drag rope and maybe a small hand saw for chest cutting or trimming branches around a high seat. All the above would fit into a jacket pocket except the externally slung Binos and thermal. In summer when I don’t wear a jacket I can fit the above easily in trouser pockets instead.

That's basically what I am carrying. I like a bottle of water on me though, and my suspended gralloch kit is the thing that takes up the most space.

This is more of a comfort thing that anything. I dislike stuffed pockets

I have seen twin needle and FHF (I thunk) do a waist belt like you have on a pack that I imagine would not slip and you can add a pouch or two I look with interest as I have tried a couple and not been sold on one, but l like the idea

I don’t really feel that this lot even fills a pocket to be honest.

Summer time roe and MJ get field gralloched on the spot using their rear legs as a gambrel to stop them becoming a green bomb in the heat. Fallow bucks get done on the floor if really needed or extracted to truck then larder.

Summer time I also carry a water bottle as I found 2-3 hours of hot stalking in an evening multiple times a week was making me dehydrated before bed allot and long term I was worried about the health issues that this might cause. 600ml rubber water bottle with a hydration sachet inside fits a treat in a front trouser pocket and if it gets in my way I just drink it compressing it back to nothing.

Each to their own etc, but one thing stalkers find over their stalking career is that over time carried gear does get slimmed down.
