Importing Rifle from the US

Can anyone recommend an importer for a rifle from the US? I contacted PBS International who have imported ITAR/controlled parts for me before but they have not replied. I have gone through Reloading International who have ordered the rifle for me and have said they can send it either to an importer, or if I have the means to legally import it myself, to me directly.

I have never imported a complete rifle before (this is a barreled action) but does anyone here know if getting it sent to me directly is possible? I know when I have brought things in via UPS before that the form they send does have a 'I am importing a firearm, please attach FAC' section on it. So, I assume it is technically possible. Would this require an individual import licence, or is a FAC with slot enough to collect/have delivered?

Or, is just using an importer the proper way to go? I have a RFD willing to receive it and proof it for me, I'm just not clear on how to get it to them. Any recommendations welcomed.

You could drop a mail to Roger at South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies. He’s brought in all manner of rifles, actions and parts in from the US and may be able to help.
