What in car dog transport boxes are any of you using?

I’m looking for a box that will go on the back seats of my truck big enough for a Teckel. I don’t have a canopy on the truck so anything in the back is out of the equation. Plus I prefer her to be in with the air on / heater when we travel.

Any suggestions?

I have a transk9 box in the back seat for my 2 labs. Just secured into the seat belts using some old belt clips and ratchet straps. It’s getting a bit hard for the older boy to jump into at 13 years old but no issues other than that. Measure the space then keep an eye out for a second hand one come up.

Just a regular collapsible crate in mine.

It's wedged against the front seats and does not even move under hard braking, for a smaller unit I'd look to getting it secured somehow so it didn't slide.

Only downside is dog hair build up and the twin cab becomes a 2 seater 😅

If you dont have regular use of the back seat its quite a simple job to remove the seat, both base and back rest, this will give you loads more space and increase your choice of box's.
I suppose what it will then do is create another issue of storage for the seats.

As above i use a trans k9 box in my diecovery and have had previous ones in other vehicles. Very well made and tolerant to being removed regularly and slung in the garage (7seat sometimes used).

In my truck i have a custom box from animal transit boxes on a set of drawers. Also very well made to high specs!
Animal transit boxes will likely make you up what you want to a custom size for both the space and your dog, and the bottom is likely to be kinder on the seats.
