Indicators

Indicators on cars only have two functions, if ever used
1. to indicate a manoeuvre already completed
2. to exempt the driver from some aspect of motoring legislation, especially when all four used at the same time.

While I’m at it, are the aforementioned brands of car fitted with some miraculous braking device that enables the driver to drive up your exhaust pipe?

BMW was tailing me for about 10 miles at the weekend. Quite a twisty country road, and I was trundling along in a hilux at about 55. He was inches off my tail gate. The inevitable happened - I had to break for a sheep. He slammed into my tow hitch. Neat fist size hole punched in his front grill. A scrape on my already heavily scraped tow ball. He was incandescent. I was absolutely delighted. He swore at me and drove off without exchanging details. His problem…

I had the same with a citron couple of weeks ago. The insurance assessment is being done on Thursday. I think the young lady was late for work, she was after this.🤣🤣🤣 20220513_075300.webp

Recently fitted a tow bar to my Audi ( the one with functional indicators), I had the option of a removeable but settled for a fixed as a deterrent to clumsy parkers and tailgaters!!;) :tiphat:
Be advised.

I stopped my big bumper Volvo 245 behind a line of stationary cars on the Kingston bypass a few decades ago, the Vauxhall Cavalier behind me didn't...and pushed me into the back of an Astra...The Cavalier bonnet was half the usual length, and the Astra only had three corners...they both had to be craned onto the back of recovery wagons...the Volvo drove me home to Gloucestershire with a cracked head lamp glass...bulb still working of course.

The Volvo was sadly written off though, the tow bar had taken the impact from the Cavalier and delivered it to, and wrinkled, the rear wheel arch box section / members.
