Infra red light recommendations

Good evening, I’ve been using my Night master 800 for last few years, originally on my photon then on Pulsar N970 but the light seems to be reducing on it “not batteries” compared to what it was like originally. Would it be worth swapping the LED or just bite the bullet and replace totally? what is everyone else using now?

Had a Nightmaster 800 and then tested a laser. Big improvement.

I have a Black sun dark engine but there are many decent lasers out there.

LED emitters deteriorate over time.
If you are happy with the current set up... then asking nightmaster for a new emmitter may be a simple resolution.

The laser device I had was focusable from a true laser beam to a flood and I think had 5 or so outputs. the image was a bit pants as it showed up any flaws in the lens or dirt on the lens surfave ... a bit like dried water droplets but it sure had legs.

LED and lasers are the same family but current laser systems will be better than they were but cost might reflect this too.

I am trying a triclopse from ludicrous lumens... it has red LED and 2 IRs..850/940 iirc.
You rotate a button to switch between the three. Not tried in field yet but looking through NV units... it seems good.

Nice simple package... small single cell and is dimmable from 5 to 100% which due to the various types of shooting I do is a workable compromise. The also do a rat tail dimmer so you dont have to break position to adjust. That works on all three LEDS.
