Integrally Suppressed .308 Rifles

The most silly concept I have ever seen. You get a barrel chopped down to 42cm and a suppressor which less effective than any regular over-barrel mod. Plus, you are stuck with THIS moderator and using the rifle without the designated ‚pipe‘ looks absolutely ridiculous.

Wasn't looking for opinions just other rifles similar to my 22lr, I get they arent everyone's cup of tea but they are mine, if you only come to the discussion to criticize then jog on thanks.

Will have a gander at Jackson rifles ty.

I have a .22lr x bolt which has a full length mod done by swift engineering and i love it, weighs 3.3 pounds, it is compact, easy to carry anywhere and the quietest 22lr i have ever shot. Will pop a pic or two tomorrow. Good luck with your search.

To be fair, supersonic centerfire is in no way similar to subsonic 22LR.

While Steff could have been more polite, with the info you provided (or actually did not) it's in your own interest to make sure what you're trying to achieve.

Personally I can think of only one reason to go integral in supersonic centerfire, and it's aesthetics.

I think Bruce Potts has tested one , might have been in one of his books, I have looked at the drawings for the Jackson’s rifles full moderator looks good to me. Would be good on a howa 1500 , with a Grs laminate stock, easy to machine the laminate, and the howa are good value for money.

Sorry, I didn‘t mean to be impolite. When I said ‚silly‘ I meant the concept of integral mods as such, not @GaryKE.

I saw a savage last week that had one of the A-Tec silencers. They certainly look different and as they say it’s in the eye of the beholder. I quite liked the look. The rifle used a GRS Berserk stock or one of those iterations.

What has already been noted, I will add, suppression is all about containing the expanding gasses and the effectiveness off slowing them down. Volume has to win and from the results of testing I have seen muzzle forward have the edge with reflex “gas” chambers not adding much if anything to the game. As seen by the effectiveness of the Ase Utra line of muzzle cans.

The A-Tec ultimate silence is thin and the volume of the reflex chamber is very small. So that it fits under any stock the overall width of the silencer is also a lot thinner than other muzzle cans. The silencer is far better at capturing the gas from a .223 than a .308 size case. Issues arise with maintenance, the inner sleeve of the reflex chamber is the barrel so hot gasses are captured against the external barrel finish. It needs cleaning after every shot or it will deteriorate rapidly.

Definitely something different and aesthetically appealing over some of the silencers on the market.
