Thanks for allowing me to join the forum.
I'm completely new to stalking and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do!
I come from a hunting family but actually had little exposure to hunting (except for fishing) as I travelled a lot growing up so never really settled. I'm an avid archer (target archery) and I'd like to think that I'm good with an air rifle and so hopefully the skills are transferable, but of course I'm willing to learn. I've always wanted to get into hunting since I was a child and my father and uncles would tell me their hunting stories.
I've been watching Meateater since Covid and I've just been itching to give it a go.
Went on my first stalk at the end of the Roe doe season and I had a broadside heart shot on my first ever doe! For my first time I couldn't be happier. It was exhilarating!
I'm hoping to get as much experience as I can and just develop my skills with a view to taking my DSC1 sometime this/next year.
