Hi, I’ve read so many threads on here over the last year I figured I had better join and contribute.
My Father owns a large commercial pheasant and partridge shoot near Porlock, Minehead called Lillycombe. I have a small farm near Gillingham, Dorset.
I shot rifles in my teens (22air rifle, 17hmr and 22/250 with supervision). I then only shot shotguns for about 20years (other than the occasional deer stalk with the keepers)! Until this year when I finally got around to getting my FAC license. I have a 200m range at home and access to unlimited shooting on exmoor.
I have currently/recently/about to have:
-Pair of browning b25 32inch barrel 12g
-Perazzi mx20 32inch ribless barrel 20g
-22lr cz scorpion with day/night vision
-22/250 Tikka T3X (SOLD)
-6.5 Creedmoor Shultz and Larson Victory with Swarovski DS2.
-338 ARC Aero precision AR15 straight pull (Currently having the non gas barrel built).
I use the 22lr almost every day (pigeons and rabbits).
I used the 22/250 on night foxes only once then was bombarded by noise complaints from all my horsey neighbours (who live half a mile away at the closest).
So I sold the 22/250 and decided to get a 338ARC built up I think it will be one of the first in the UK? 200m Sub sonic fox shooting anyone
I absolutely love the 6.5creed by S&L it’s a thing of beauty. I’ve already had a couple of roe bucks but mainly I do a bit of practice shooting from a stick at home to build confidence and because it’s fun. The Swarovski DS2 is a new addition which I haven’t tried in anger yet.
