Hi!
I am a hunter and a shooter from the middle part of Sweden.
A majority of the organized hunting I am part of is hunting moose and boar with loose dogs (Swedish moose mounds, mainly), but I honestly enjoy stalking and night time hunting to protect crops from boars better.
I have been dabbling a bit with long range shooting, enjoy range time a lot, and I have been reloading for the last twelve years or so. Suffering from a common affliction among middle aged men, namely a possibly unhealthy interest in hunting gear, I have gone through a lot of different rifles and optics over the last decade and a half or so.
Hunting in a team with close ties to the university and with scientists involved in investigating the effects on humans (especially children) of lead in food, in our organized hunts we have been lead free for the last ten years (with no issues, I might add).
I try to get my teenage daughter to join my stalking but these days it's not a given. I have given up on my son, I have lost him to the world of competitive team sports already.
I also have a border terrier, an explosive little bundle of energy and a lovely family member who does well hunting moose and boar (and roe and fox if she cannot find the aforementioned).
