Introduction from Kent/East Sussex

Hi, after a brief period doing other non shooting things, like dog training, I've rediscovered the enjoyment of Deer Stalking and decided to get back on the horse (so to speak). Located near the Kent/East Sussex border and have access to local land with plenty of Fallow, and increasing numbers of Roe. Currently using Blaser .243 and Sako 6.5 x 55mm. I'm a member of the British Sporting Rifle Club and spending plenty of time on the range to reacquaint myself with the rifles, and reloading for them.

Welcome to the SD.
Lovely part of the country if you stalk.
I’m seeing Increasing numbers of muntjac too

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Just had a variation confirmed for a 6mm BR to add to the collection.
Will need to pick SD brains about the best spec for a lightweight hunting/range rifle.

Thinking of starting with a Tikka T3 action, left hand of course, and currently looking for a donor action which are like hens teeth.
PSE stock
24 inch barrel, 1 in 8 twist, set up for 75 to 105 grain bullets, which should cope with 80/85 grn non toxic.

I'll post in the relevant section once I have a better idea of the spec.
