Hi,

I am brand new to hunting but it is something I've been researching a lot over the last few months and would like to have a go at. I came across this site when researching certain things and found some good useful information so thought I'd join.

It's a difficult thing to get into when you don't know anybody that hunts or have anyone to show you the ropes/take you out on a stalk.

I'm primarily interested in amateur deer stalking to harvest meat for myself/family. I live in Northamptonshire.

I would definitely look at completing the DSC1 at some point and then applying for my Firearms licence but would like to experience a couple of stalks first.

Any advise welcome
