Introductions

Hi, Where to start without it all sounding like bragging. I'm a senior citizen life long amateur shooter in many disciplines - air rifle/rimfire/centrefire pest control - with almost 2000 foxes to date. Deer stalker both lowland & Highlands with 1500 deer to date, of which 50% red, the remainder roe, muntjac & fallow, plus one elk in Colorado, and 2 wild boar in Austria - a significant proportion of this unaccompanied. Have gralloched and butchered a good proportion of this, aided by having a Coolgame chiller. I have never seen a sika or a CWD. I have DSC1, but could never arrange convenient witnesses for DSC2, and didn't see the point in 'cheating' it by going to some estate to do 3 x hand-held 'stalks' for a quickie pass.
I have shot perhaps 50,000 centrefire rounds at game, and in Practical Rifle, Civi Service Rifle, Target Rifle up to 1000 yards, Running Boar and Silhouette. Shot as member of UK team to US Highpower Rifle Championship at Camp Perry Ohio, and was selected as a token civilian to join the first UK Armed Forces team to attend the S African Skill-at-Arms meeting post the Apartheid era. I shot approx 20,000 rounds in Practical Pistol, and a fair few at long range pistol. I shot over 8000 rounds of .22 in the inter-club standing unsupported sporting rifle league taking gold medals in both club and personal rankings, before Parkinson's proved unsupported rifle shooting no longer viable.

I have shot in excess of 100,000 clay targets across several disciplines, and still shoot around 6000 a year. I have shot with a driven pheasant syndicate within the M25 for 57 seasons, since age 13, co-managing the operation for the past 30 years, in addition to game shooting at many other venues across the country, including 160 days walked-up grouse, black grouse, and ptarmigan days mostly in Perthshire.

I have been a fanatical handloader of ammunition across all the above (excl RF!), covering 410 to 4 bore, 22 Hornet to 458 Win. 12ga, 7.62 and 5.56 for comps were largely factory, but almost every other centrefire round fired was loaded by me, including black powder and non-tox. My engineering training and experience enabled some limited gunsmithing activities, and being practical was always useful.

Having owned some 200 guns at some point or another, I have now reduced to a few basics, sadly reflecting the onset of Parkinson's (more of an inconvenient annoyance that a true disability) and arthritis (probably made worse by lying up in too many wet ditches stalking something or awaiting a goose flight). Have always worn plugs for game, and both plugs AND muffs for all other shooting. And did all this, and bought a house and raised a family as a power station engineer. Being prepared to muck-in and help was often the intro to fabulous sporting opportunities.

Thanks, guys - and it's all true. The reason I signed up was because I put 'Cam rifle' into Google and it came up with a 2016 post by a member asking if anyone had one for sale - and the only way to reply was by signing up. Now I can't find the post??

An old friend has had a stroke and I've been tasked with disposing of his guns - yeah, sad, or what. One of them is an early DMS Cam, serial no. 09. It has wood stock, heavy, long ss barrel, probably fast twist, with both muzzle break and huge T8 mod. So not everyone's cup of tea, and maybe best useful for propping open the shed door, but the 2016 post was really looking for an action. I appreciate I have to wait 30 days before advertising anything, but does any one recall who it was that may have put up that post.
I'm better at shooting that computers, so unsure how to post under some more helpful thread.

Thanks for any help,
