Is it just me? Mike Yarwood dead.

I believe he’s seen more as a key game changer and roll model for many of today’s impersonators and satire-heavy script writers.

Ps: How they got away with this as a Children’s program is beyond me but glad they did! Skip to10:50:

TBF Mike Yarwood made a long career out of what he did , so it could not of been that bad- I would of watched and enjoyed as a kid-

70’s classic for me would have to be Tiswaz

There certainly was a lot of rubbish on the telly in the '70s. In the funny stakes, Morecambe and Wise and the Two Ronnies were good. Excellent in parts, but they had off days too. They seem to make endless programmes about them now, which lends me to think they are bereft of ideas now. Fawlty Towers was excellent of course. In more recent times, The Office was excellent too, although I'm no great fan of wossname. Most of the sitcoms became pretty repetitive after an episode or two.

As for other programmes, I, Claudius was great. Having said that, I've run out of thoughts now on 70s telly. At least then the tellies were a bit deep, so you could put an ornament or two on them.

Anyway, this was my favourite in the '60s.
