Jack's Day.

It has taken a few goes to finley get Jack out on his first days decoying as he has been studying hard for his exams, his uncle has been out the last few trips.
He shoots game but as I explained the gloves come off with crop protection, mount and timing was going to be the thing to focus on which took a couple of hours but the difference was noticeable, he did get the first bird which came with the wheels falling off a few times but also the last of the day!
Both of us being Left handed he sat on my left so could see that I was not pointing it like Harry Potters wand but as I explained he is used to birds at tree height not diving into a pattern, a slower day than the previous time but that would have been far too much traffic for a first go, nice singles curling into the decoy's
14 for Jack with a few nice snap shots later in the day.
Total of 37
Toby did his thing as always.

Nicely done Tim. Considering you are both cack handed that's a good outing

I imagine Jack knows swear words that you don't but well done trying to be polite...bet its hard.

Thank you, as I explained with game shooting you have time (sometimes too much) so with this mount in the shoulder style for what "I/we" do you lose the one or 2 seconds as a pigeon will tip a wing and your shot string is in the wrong place!
He has a nice 20bore fixed choke but was shooting the 1/2 first so got him to swap to the 1/4 first with also different smother mount made an improvement. I might know them but never used them. :tiphat:

Ive just moved from a pump action to an O/U and thaths taken a bit of getting used to. Kills most stuff if I point it in the right direction :)
