I have no idea if it is any good but I saw it recommended here from a while back

He also has another book called dead on. Again no idea of it is any good but the combo deal is good so I'm getting both

Book is USD55 but shipping is another 40 dollars

If anyone wants a copy as well, drop me a PM i'll order one and post it from the UK.

I'll work out final cost but basically whatever the book costs in sterling plus UK postage plus a couple of quid towards the US shipping. This is more about not wasting the shipping cost than me trying to make a profit from it since I'll be buying anyway

I imported one a little while back (last year IIRC) from his widow - I cannot recall the postage costing that much. I’ll have a look tomorrow and will revert

So, its a bit further back than I recall (2021) but the postage was only $24 then

Definitely worth a read. I got a first edition years ago and I believe it has been added too. Very Teckel centric but does compare other breeds. Also not much about working dogs off a long line as most states don’t allow loose dogs.

Hiya, I am really interested in getting the dog tracking one please.

One thing though, you need to check what the total amount would be for the order as I think you have to pay custom charges once an order (including the postage) is over a certain value.

This is what google says:
When You Have to Pay Charges:

• Goods Value Over £135: If the books cost more than £135, you will likely pay import VAT and a courier handling fee.
• No Pre-paid VAT: If the seller (e.g., Amazon US) doesn't charge VAT at checkout, you will pay it upon arrival.
• Gifts Over £39: If a gift from a person in the US is worth over £39, it is subject to VAT. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key Considerations:

• Books are Zero-Duty: You usually won't pay customs duty on books, but you will pay Import VAT(20%).
• Courier Fees: The carrier (Royal Mail, UPS, etc.) will contact you, and you typically have 3 weeks to pay before the item is returned.
• Check the Invoice: Ensure the customs declaration accurately lists the items as "books" to avoid wrong tax rates

I am pretty sure the £135 includes postage (I have been stung on a couple pairs of shoes before because of this).

So if adding my book to your order doesn't take you above the limit then yes please.
