Just “WOW!”

Are you saying Apollo 11 did not get to the moon, and it was faked?
I am not. You suggested that the last moon landing occurred some 56 years ago. It did not. The first moon landing was made by the Apollo 11 mission, with Neil Armstrong being the first man to set foot on the lunar surface, along with Buzz Aldrin; the third crew member Michael Collins remained aboard the command module.

The last mission (Apollo 17) left the moon and returned to Earth in December 1972, some 54 years and eight months ago.

Poor taste, there is actually evidence that that happened.
Should you read my post again, I hope you see I was ridiculing those who profess it never happened, like my other examples in that post poking fun at ridiculous conspiracy theories. Of course those awful things happened and Mankind need to remember that, not deny them. Sorry if it hit a nerve, perhaps It was a bad choice of an example, but I surely didn't set out to cause any offence at all.

I will clarify my initial thought for clarification - I do not believe anyone has stepped foot on the moon so far. Be it 56 years ago or 5 years ago. They would not be sending this latest mission to the furthest reaches. They would be working on from previous landing to try and find any resources available to inhabit. If they could get people on the moon in the 60’s and 70’ why in 2026 they are no where near doing it again??

I believe they are in space and the space station is manned etc, and the earth is not flat 👍

Apologies to the OP for unintentionally hijacking the post 👍👍
Thanks - I’d expected there to be some debate as the pic is, as has been pointed out by @rocketdogbert & @wytonpjs, a fake. I even gave a hint when I said my Mrs had seen it on Facebook.

What I hadn’t reckoned on was how rowdy you lot would be on a Bank Holiday Sunday evening 😳

Next post will be someone claiming the earth is flat & that it only looks round in the photo because it was taken with a fish eye lens 😝

Yes, Apollo astronauts left several retroreflector arrays on the Moon to enable precise laser-ranging measurements of the Earth-Moon distance. These reflectors, placed by Apollo 11, 14, and 15, still work today, alongside others deployed by Soviet robotic missions and more recent lunar probes.
