It is so much more than that. It is a pictorial (a beautiful pictorial) representation of the bond, that was shared between you both.
He was so very fortunate to share his time with you; and you must miss him terribly.
Without love there can be no grief. Grief and tears are the physical manifestation of that love.
It is a heavy price to pay, put it is paid by every person who has shared their life with a dog.
It is right that that is so.

My avatar pic is our dog Buzz who we lost in August last year to cancer. This is his brother who we will no doubt lose too in the not too distant future as he’s approaching 14 years old & starting to get a bit wobbly.

Pictures of our Ruby sadly taken too early by the stupid action of a “fellow” gun. So glad I have these to go with the memories - taken by a trainee as I called in a roe buck for him.
